Why I never have to think about clothes again

After a week-long interview process that included 2 phone interviews, 2 in-person interviews, and 1 3-hour roleplay, I finally wrapped it up with Geico this morning and accepted a position as an Auto Damage Adjuster. It went so well that they also put me on a fast track to management, which is normally reserved for those with business degrees.

My happiness cannot be contained. How should I celebrate? All my friends are suggesting a night of heavy drinking…

But I think I’ll start with a nice 10-minute shower (more than double my usual, ooh!) and a fresh set of pajamas. My days spent in pajamas are numbered. I fly to San Diego for training end of February, so I have until then to live it the fuck up in my Pikachu onesie.

Also, this is both the most random job I have ever had (me, who doesn’t do a single thing remotely related to manual labor ever, and who also doesn’t know a single thing about mechanics, will be working with cars?) and also the first job to require a uniform. A uniform! I finally get to never think about clothes again.

Life Mission accomplished.
